Canon Photo5 Comp

Taking part in the Canon Photo5 Competition, where they send you a box with 5 small objects and the challenge is to photograph them in a unique or artistic way.

Here are pictures of the box and its contents.... something fun about opening little boxes tied with string! ;p

Princess Mononoke on a wall

On an alley wall in Fitzroy I found this street artwork - coincidentally, on the way to my exhibition on friday night! (full-view the first image - its quite detailed!)

For fans of anime (like myself;p) this was a nice treat - characters from Hayao Miyazaki's films, most notably Princess Mononoke and My Neighbour Totoro.

Picture This Opening

Well, the Opening came and went last night.

Lots and lots of fun, though unfortunately they hadn't had time to judge the works so will have to wait til closing night to hear the prize winners. Still, the huge number of works (900) was amazing and fantastic :D such a diverse ranges of styles, themes and ideas - very inspiring and interesting. Definitely recommended to anyone who couldn't make the opening night.

Although it is nice to breathe again, after the choking crowds of the opening night, lol!

I submitted these 3 works for the Picture This 08 exhibition/competition at Brunswick Street Gallery.

The opening is at 6pm, Friday September 12th, at BSG 322 Brunswick St, Fitzroy and runs til 25th Sep. :)
